We use industry-leading manufacturing technology combined with world-class chemistry R&D and analytical capabilities.
Our Values
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
Crucially, this applies to the promises we make to our customers – whether it is in meeting or exceeding their expectations in terms of new product development or in supplying them with our products in time and in full.
We follow the law and our Code of Conduct which provides guidance on decision making in challenging situations. And we value other people and their differences.
Teamwork is grounded on mutual trust and fuelled by open and respectful communication – enabling team members to share perspectives, constructively challenging each other and holding each other accountable.
Responsible Manufacturing
William Blythe has a longstanding commitment to Responsible Care®, the chemical industry initiative that aims to improve safety, health and environmental (SHE) performance and enhance communication with stakeholders about products and processes. This ensures that everything we do, from sourcing raw materials, through running our manufacturing site, to stewardship of our products to guide their safe use and disposal, is fully compliant with the principles of Responsible Care®.
Our facility in Church, Accrington, UK, is a top tier COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) 2015 site and operates under the integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC) regulations. The business is accredited to ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001, providing independent verification of its high standards in quality, environmental and energy management performance.
We are fully compliant with the European Union’s REACH Directive (EC) 1907/2006, which is designed to regulate the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemical substances. REACH legislation has been in effect since 1st June 2007 and its major aim is to provide a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the use of chemicals. We are working with the UK government to ensure all William Blythe products are UK REACH compliant. For regions in the world outside the European Union, William Blythe cooperate with all other national bodies to ensure we are compliant with local regulatory requirements.
William Blythe is committed to achieving full compliance with the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures Regulation (CLP Regulation), which implements the United Nations “Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals” (GHS). To do this, we work in close cooperation with our suppliers and customers. This means that labels and new safety data sheets are designed with all the new compliant information.
